Dear Players, Coaches, Families & Communities
Thanks for your patience as we navigate a soccer season amidst changing public health requirements. With registration closing on April 16th, here is what we know right now:
MAXIMUM 10 FOR OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES Current Alberta Health Services (AHS) restrictions allow practices ONLY to be held with a maximum of 10 people (8 of which can be players). Players can remove their masks once they enter the playing field, but coaches cannot. Additionally, coaches must enforce physical distancing guidelines, which require that players maintain a distance of 2 metres from each other at all times. Scrimmages within the group and/or between groups will not be possible.
COVID PROTOCOLS As a province, we are currently at step 1 of the COVID protocols, and a review of the current COVID case numbers is necessary before Alberta can move to stage 2. These updates are set by the government and are normally completed every 3 weeks. We expect the next update on April 30th, so there will be a delay to the originally planned first week of May starting date.
REFUNDS With so much uncertainty, we are committed to supporting our community members. We will not penalize people financially if you do not feel comfortable continuing in the soccer program. If you have changed your mind about the program and would like a 100% refund, please apply here: <Refund Link deactivated May 1, 2021> ***Update, Deadline for refund without penalty is April 30th.
We will continue to update the website as soon as we receive any updates from the Alberta Government, AHS, or Alberta Soccer Association.
