Registration for the 2021 outdoor opens March 15th. Of course, there is still much uncertainty about COVID-19 restrictions and future AHS guidelines. Last year (2020) we ran a modified cohort program to comply with public health measures. This included cohorts up to 50 people (including players and coaches) that trained and scrimmaged together.
For 2021 we do not know if games will be permitted, but we are committed to offering a great soccer program across all ages. As registration opens, we are preparing for two scenarios (and a hybrid of both).
A regular season with games (if AHS guidelines are relaxed)
A modified cohort season (if AHS guidelines remain restrictive)
For the kids in U4 to U7, our current program is very compatible with a cohort approach, so the AHS guidelines are less impactful. For U9-U19 age groups, we have amended our refund policy to address the possible scenarios.
Fees & Refunds:
The fees this season have been divided to cover the costs of a cohort season and games.
Cohort Season Fee (60% of program cost): covers team equipment, coach training, administration costs, player insurance and the support from the South West zone.
Games Fee (40% of program cost): covers referee costs, field lining, and EMSA fees.
For the U9-U19 age groups, should the season be modified the games fee will be refunded, prorated based on games played.
Thanks to all our players, coaches, parents, volunteers, and families that make the program successful. Regardless of the AHS restrictions that are in place, we are excited to get back on the pitch and being active, and seeing the smiling faces.
